In 50 years the Woodstock Choralaires have performed in Canada, Europe, and of course here in Oxford County.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Choralaires are celebrating 50 years of singing in 2016.
They are already working on an anniversary show for April at the Marantha Church. Public Relations with the Choralaires Pat Lapier tells Heart FM they will be doing two shows on April 30th and it will showcase music from the past 50 years and the choir's performances in Woodstock, Europe, and Canada.
"The last 10-20 years we have become very eclectic in what we sing: we go from Queen to Adele and back to Rutter and all kinds of music. We have a really great background, the orchestra and the arrangements, it's a full live concert show. The music is music we have sung over the years in different venues across Europe and Canada and we hope people will remember some of it."
She notes 50 years is quite the milestone for a choral group and everyone is really excited to put on a great show for their anniversary.
