A fun family day features activities including infant massages, Baby and Me Yoga, and even Mother Goose!
WOODSTOCK - Families are encouraged to come out and have some fun during the Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds event.
This event is a partnership between Oxford Ontario Early Years and Oxford-Elign Child and Youth Centre who believe in the old adage 'it takes a village to raise a child.'
Early Literacy Specialist with Oxford Ontario Early Years Cara vanKlaveren says they will have activities for infants all the way up to around 8 or 10 years. "There's a variety of different activities that families can come and participate in together. Anything from Baby and Me Yoga, to Playdough and Literacy. We've got sock puppets and Book Cooks, and Songs and Rhymes with Mother Goose, and we're even doing a bouncing ball experiment."
vanKlaveren says originally they had planned to close registration on Friday, but they want to make sure this is available for all families. "But we're actually going to open it up so people can just come to the event on the Saturday morning. The downside to waiting until Saturday morning is you might not get the activities you were really hoping for."
The event is on Saturday February 27th from 9:30 a.m. until noon at Saint Mary's High School. The cost is $10 per family.
