The 16th annual Hike for Hospice will get underway in Roth Park today.
WOODSTOCK - The 16th annual Hike for Hospice is coming back to Roth Park today.
Registration will get underway this morning at 9 a.m.
Michelle Horwood, the Fund Development Coordinator with VON Oxford, says you have three routes to choose from.
"The 1K and the 5K are part of the more maintained and paved part so if you have a mobility issue or a stroller it's totally accessible. If you're looking for a little bit longer we do have the 8K available."
Horwood says the hike itself will get underway at 10 a.m. after the opening ceremony.
"The Children's Bereavement and Teen Bereavement program run through Sakura House are ending their program this year with the butterfly release as part of our opening ceremony and tribute to the families who have used Sakura House over the past year."
It's free to join in but participants are encouraged to collect donations for Sakura House. The hike has brought in over $750,000 for the hospice over the years.
