OPP in Ingersoll say suspects are putting their lives at risk in tampering with the town's electricity. Police say a series of power outages over the last 3-nights have been caused by suspects tampering with hydro equipment. Erie Thames crews have been called out several times to turn the power back on, and indicate they use special gloves when handling the equipment. They say tampering with electricity is "very dangerous". The suspects have also caused 50-thousand dollars in damage. Police say the suspects are likely using a vehicle to get away, and they're appealing for any tips from the public. Oxford OPP can be reached at 519-688-6540.
