A committee in Ingersoll is hatching plans for gateway signage on the 401. That's the goal of the Ingersoll Economic Development as well as a signage committee. Director of Economic Development Bill Mates says, "Signage is always important to bring people into your community, when driving on the 401 Ingersoll signage is not that good right now." New signs will include Gateway signs on Highway 401, as well as Ingersoll entrance signs. Mates says he hopes to create signage for Ingersoll's main attractions including: town hall, VPCC the museum and more. Mates also talked about the possibility of truck wraps traveling up the 401 and into Michigan. The project is scheduled to be completed by early 2013.
