Interview with Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch

Woodstock City council will vote on a motion to waive the interest and penalties for not paying taxes in June and July. Mayor Birtch also talks about the pedestrian bridge at Pittock Dam and other important items at council on Thursday.

WOODSTOCK - The Mayor of Woodstock called into Heart FM today for his weekly interview.

Woodstock City Council will be meeting on Thursday for a virtual council meeting. The agenda is extensive and includes several measures. One important item for residents is council is going to vote on a motion to waive the interest and penalties for taxes in June and July. Last month they waived those fees for April and May.

- The opening of the pedestrian bridge at the Pittock Dam and all of the work that went into that. 
- Doing council meetings virtually. 
- The motion asking council to waive the interest and penalties for taxes and what residents can do if they can't pay their taxes.

- 2020 Community Grant program and some of the funds that will be allocated this year. 
- A message from the Mayor to residents about all the good work we have been doing with social distancing and to keep up the great work.
