A lock down at three Woodstock schools has ended after an elderly man issued death threats
WOODSTOCK - A lock down has ended at three Woodstock schools after an elderly man uttered death threats.
It happened around 11:34 this morning when City Police were called to a Clarke Street residence for reports of threats with a firearm.
Officers closed down parts of Clarke Street including lock downs at Huron Park Secondary School, Winchester Street Public School and Roch Carrier French Immersion.
Then at 11:57 police arrested 84 year old Alfredo Romann of Woodstock with uttering threats to cause death and careless storage of a firearm.
The lock down has been lifted on the schools and no injuries have been reported. Police also seized a number of firearms.
