Meet Your New High School Resources Officer

Woodstock Police Constable Angela Wilson is loving her new role as the High School Community Resources Officer.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police has a new high school resources officer.

Constable Angela Wilson has been working with all five high schools in the friendly city since the Spring.

"This is a dream role in policing for me, so I have been really, really enjoying it. The connections I have been able to make in the High Schools. I am there, not only for investigative reports or for negative things, I am there proactively as well. I have been able to do so many awesome fun things, I have gone rock climbing, zip lining, teachers are consistently inviting me to have fun at the High Schools."

Wilson also handles some media relations duties for Woodstock Police. She is also a constable, which means she will respond to active calls as well.

"I still support the road on a continual basis, I work a day shift role from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm, knowing that yes, my main role is to focus on the high schools, but should that call come out or should they need me for something, they will call me immediately and I will respond."

Wilson says the students and staff at the High Schools have been amazing. She has been a constable with Woodstock Police now for 2 years and has a background in teaching, interior design and banking.
