Police and MTO were called out to South-West Oxford today after two tires came off a big rig on the 401.
SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - A 55 year old truck driver from Innisfil has been charged after another case of a wheel separation causing an accident in Oxford County.
Police say two tires came off the rig of a semi-tractor trailer as it exited Highway 401 westbound and then again as it turned southbound onto Plan Line in South West Oxford around 9:50 a.m today.
OPP, the Ministry of Ontario along with Forensic Identification Services attended to assist with the scene. There were no injuries.
As a result of investigation the male driver was charged with drive commercial motor vehicle wheel detached and drive commercial motor vehicle with major defect.
