Sudden burst of snow could cause issues on local roads this afternoon
It technically is spring but Environment Canada is warning of sudden bursts of snow this afternoon which could lead to hazardous conditions on our local roads.
The weather agency has issued a Special Weather statement, saying another Arctic cold front is moving northwest through Southern Ontario, generating flurries with a few embedded narrow and heavy bands of snow.
We could see 2 to 5 cm of snow with heavier bands of snow causing low visibility.
Motorists are advised to prepare for possible hazardous conditions on our local roads with the chance for accumulating snow on untreated roads.
The snow is expected to move through Oxford County through the early to mid afternoon, reaching the Toronto area before this evening.
