Construction is taking place at Woodstock Hospital. The changes are being made to make room for a new CT scanner. The new equipment should arrive at the hospital in September and be ready to go live in October.
WOODSTOCK- An exciting time for Woodstock Hospital.
There will be a new CT scanner coming to the facility and it will be ready to go live in October.
For the time being, a temporary CT trailer will be used for August and September. The current scanner is 12-year-old and has seen itself become eclipsed by newer technology.
The new equipment will come with added benefits including;
- Faster post-scan processing time, meaning radiologists can interpret scans sooner and patients can get results quicker,
- Improved patient experience and larger gantry to allow us to accommodate bariatric patients,
- Top-of-the-line model that has a lot of add-ins for software updates as they become available in the coming years,
- and the Ability to do certain scans that our current CT can't do.
The Diagnostic Imaging Department is undergoing construction and there will be more updates coming in the Fall.
