It's a new look for the Oxford County Paramedic Services who are going through a little bit of re-branding.
WOODSTOCK - Oxford County Paramedic Services have been using two new ambulances in the County.
The new look and design is part of their re-branding efforts which included new uniforms and the new name. Acting Manager of Paramedic Services for Oxford County Stephen Turner tells Heart FM they wanted a new design and something that would really stand out.
"And the ambulances themselves have gone from about a 10 to 15 percent reflective surface area to almost 60 percent now, so when your on the side of the road and headlights hit them, they become very visible and it adds to the safety of our staff and it adds to the safety of our patients."
Turner says they won't be changing all of the ambulances at once.
"We receive about two new ambulances each year, and when we receive the new ambulance they will be branded with the new decaling package, we won't be doing that retroactively, so the current fleet, when those ones are relieved from service they will be replaced with the new branding."
The ambulance also included a nice tribute plaque on the inside with a tribute to Chief Joe Pember who passed away last November.
