Southwestern Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 today and two more recoveries, including 1 in Oxford County.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 today and two more recoveries.
The recoveries are in Elgin County and East-Zorra Tavistock. This means we currently have 8 active cases in Oxford County and 1 active case in St. Thomas.

- 4 cases in Ingersoll
- 2 cases in Woodstock
- 2 cases in Tillsonburg
To date, the Health Unit has tested 4,293 people for COVID-19. We have 73 cumulative confirmed cases, 60 cases have been resolved, 4 people have died from the virus and we currently have 9 active cases. We have also had three institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared. Two outbreaks were in Elgin County and they are listed as resolved. The new institutional outbreak is at Secord Trails Long Term Care Home in the Town of Ingersoll. Thus far 8 employees at the long term care home have tested positive for the virus. All staff and residents have been tested.
