The Oxford Small Business Support Centre is hosting an event to connect entrepreneurs with services that can help them thrive.
The Oxford Small Business Support Centre is putting an on event for entrepreneurs in the county.
Manager Allan Simm says this is an opportunity for everyone to take a look at some of the supports that are available here in the county. "Those that are thinking about starting a business, those that are expanding a business, and even young entrepreneurs thinking, 'I want to take that step' it is designed for them. We are bringing support groups together - those that bring entrepreneurs together, those that fund entrepreneurs; we're bringing them together for a mini trade show."
Simm says when taking those first steps down the road of entrepreneurship it's important everyone understands there is help close to home. "We want to make sure that when someone is starting or growing their business in Oxford County that they know there is support, there are organizations there to help them whether its through funding, whether it's through a loan, or potentially even a grant that can help them get going, and even boost their business and kickstart a new project or expansion."
There is no limitation on who can come out according to Simm. "It's open to all of the entrepreneurs in Oxford County. And a special invite also to young entrepreneurs to come out and find out about grants that are available for them, and also the business support. People often have questions when they want to start a business, and also when they want to expand. And we're here to help them in terms of business planning and training."
The business information and networking event is on Thursday February 4th from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Quality Hotel and Suites in Woodstock.
