A Brownsville man is facing an animal cruelty charge for leaving his dog in a sweltering pick-up truck. Police were called to the Woodstock Hospital parking lot at 2:50 this afternoon from concerned citizens. Police found a Shih-tzu in the pick-up as the temperature outside was close to 30-degrees. Bystanders say the dog was in the car for at least 45-minutes. The 63-year-old owner was charged with animal cruelty and will be in court next month. The dog did not require medical attention.
