The 2025 Budget and Business Plan totals $413.3 million with an operating budget of $288.1 million, a capital budget of $125.2 million, and a tax levy of $89.8 million.
OXFORD COUNTY - The 2025 Budget and Business Plan for Oxford County totals $413.3 million.
The capital plan is $125.2 million. It includes lots of infrastructure projects like roads and bridges, water and wastewater, and building upgrades for social housing and Woodingford Lodge.
The operating budget is $288.1 million and the tax levy is $89.8 million. This means the average homeowner will experience an $80 increase on the county's portion of their property tax bill next year.
The budget also includes a tax levy of $5.7 million for the Oxford County Library, a grant levy of $123,430 for court security and transportation at the Woodstock Courthouse, $4.6 million for the Southwestern Public Health Budget, $2.2 million for the Long Point Region Conservation Authority, Upper Thames River Conservation Authority, Grand River Conservation Authority, and Catfish Creek Conservation Authority.
Oxford County Council passed the budget and business plan last Wednesday, and Warden Marcus Ryan talked about it on the Heart FM morning show the next day.
