Those who are not eligible for the province's recycling program can register to have their recycling picked up by the county.
OXFORD COUNTY - A reminder for business owners in Oxford County!
A provincial agency called Circular Materials will takeover recycling collection as of January 5th, 2026, to make sure that plastics producers are paying for recycling. However, lots of business, commercial, industrial, not-for-profit, and public sector properties will not be eligible for pickup under this program.
In response to this, the county will handle recycling collection for these groups free of cost, but they have to register online here in advance. This will make sure that they are eligible for this new program.
Oxford County is also introducing a green bin organics program six-day collection schedule. It will start in Woodstock and South-West Oxford next year, and expand to the other areas of Oxford County in May 2027.
