An investigation is underway after an 86-year-old from Oxford County was hit by a dump truck in Long Point yesterday. They died at the scene.
LONG POINT - A senior from Oxford County has died after they were hit by a dump truck in Long Point.
It happened on Erie Boulevard at around 1:15 p.m. yesterday.
According to the Norfolk OPP, the 86-year-old pedestrian was hit by the vehicle while they were walking along the roadway. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police once they arrived.
The investigation is ongoing at this time, so anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have dash cam footage should call the Norfolk OPP at 1-888-310-1122. You can also submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
