Stephane Pilon is returning to Perth County OPP as a Staff Sergeant after leaving for the Moosonee detachment three years ago.
PERTH COUNTY - Perth County OPP are getting a new Staff Sergeant with a familiar face.
Stephane Pilon is taking over as Staff Sergeant after spending three years in that same role up north in Moosonee. Pilon said before he moved up to the detachment up north, he was working in Perth County.
"Perth County or Southwestern Ontario is the place we can call home for us. So we kind of came back home. It just happened like that where I was able to come back to the same detachment I left three years ago."
Pilon will be taking over the role from retiring Staff Sergeant Joel Skelding and will be serving under Detachment Commander Inspector Rob Scott.
Although this position requires Pilon to spend much of his time in the office, Pilon says he plans to be very hands on.
"I do like to get out of the office regularly to join the officers on special duties like R.I.D.E. programs, or special initiatives that are going on in the county."
