WOODSTOCK - A routine traffic stop in Woodstock has led to some pretty serious charges for two people from Woodstock.
Police say they pulled over the car on Thursday morning around 4:55 am in the area of Devonshire Ave and Vansittart Ave. Police stopped the car for going through a red light. After investigating the officer noticed that the car was actually stolen and their were other stolen goods in the car along with some drugs.
35 year old Kristopher Mcintre and 23 year old Victoria Heckley were both arrested and charged with possession of property over $5,000 for the car, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and Possession of Property obtained by crime under $5,000 for stolen licence plates, Possession of Property obtained by crime under $5,000 for both
WOODSTOCK - A man in the midst of a drunken stupor injured three police officers after an altercation in downtown Woodstock.
Police were called after getting a complaint about a man sleeping in the doorway of a business. When officers approached the 24 year old man from Woodstock they noticed he was intoxicated and police had a hard time waking him up. Once he did wake up he became very aggressive and was punching the ground and banging his head on the sidewalk. Three officers sustained minor injuries during the altercation. The investigation is continuing.
