OXFORD - A Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) inspection initiative was conducted in Norwich Township Thursday.
Members of Oxford OPP conducted checks, placing an emphasis on enforcing the Highway Traffic Act.
Several CMV's were stopped and only one operator was charged with an offence, and one CMV was taken out of service during the course of this initiative.
In a release, Inspector Anthony Hymers commented on those that are following the rules of the road.
"The OPP acknowledges and commends the many safe CMV drivers who contribute to safe Ontario roads."
