Residents in Tavistock are once again without power. According to Erie Thames Power Lines President, Chris White, the transformer that was repaired Thursday has failed causing the power outage. Power had been restored early Thursday evening to all of the customers, but homes and businesses went dark again around 11 p.m. when the transformer failed. White says crews are bringing in a temporary sub-station which will bring stabilized power back to the 1500 residential and 50 commercial customers affected by the power outages. The power is expected to be restored by this evening. Again those affected by the power outage are being reminded to keep their fridge and freezer doors closed to help preserved perishable foods. White says crews are working actively to restore the power and is confident the temporary sub-station will resolve their ongoing issues. UPDATE: Currently Tim Hortons, New Orleans Pizza, Mac's Milk, and Subway are without power. Home hardware, Quehl's, Shell Gas, as well as various banks have power.
