OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed Five more active cases of COVID-19 in Oxford County.
This means, Oxford County currently has 9 active cases and they only have one active case in St. Thomas/Elgin County.
You can get a break down of the cases by Township in Oxford County below:
- 4 cases in Ingersoll
- 2 cases in Tillsonburg
- 2 cases in Woodstock
- 1 cases in East Zorra Tavistock
The numbers are up after the Health Unit confirmed 7 active cases at the Secord Trails Long Term Care Home in the Town of Ingersoll. All of the cases are staff members and thus far, no residents have tested positive. Not all of the employees at the LTC home are from Oxford county. We will be doing an interview with Dr. Joyce Lock today and more information will be available after that call.
To date, the Health Unit has tested 3,855 people for COVID-19. We have 71 cumulative confirmed cases, 57 cases have been resolved, 4 people have died from the virus and we currently have 10 active cases.
