We could be getting upwards of 40 millimetres of rain today across the region, providing some much needed relief from the recent heat and humidity we have had.
BRANT / OXFORD - Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement, as we could get some heavy rain today.
After a scorching start to the week with heat and humidity, some relief will come with the potential for rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 millimetres.
This rain is associated with the remnants of tropical depression Bertha and is weakening as it moves northward.
There is still uncertainty about which area will receive the highest amount of rain however rainfall warnings may be issued as the day continues.
