Looks like it will be at least another week before we can start enjoying Spring like weather in Oxford County.
It is going to be another weekend of wearing your winter jacket, gloves hats and mitts.
Temperatures could potentially set new records this weekend with daytime highs of minus 2 and minus 1 on Saturday and Sunday. We will also be getting some snow tomorrow and again on Sunday night. Meteorologist with Environment Canada Geoff Coulson tells Heart FM it is going to be really cold this weekend.
"I think we could be close to some records again this weekend, we're looking at daytime highs for Saturday of only minus 2 degrees Celsius, daytime high on Sunday of only minus 1 degree Celsius and that is something we will be watching closely to see if those temperatures actually come to pass."
Coulson adds they don't expect we will see normal spring like weather until later next week.
"Fortunate for a lot of folks who are longing for the start of some real Spring like weather, it looks like we are going to have to wait another week or so for those mild temperatures to come back into the area, there are some indications from the longer ranger forecast models that around the 15th and 16th of this month we should start to see temperatures bouncing back for this time of year and that would daytime highs in the teens."
Coulson says they are expecting more snow in the forecast this weekend as well tomorrow morning and we could potentially get another snow and rain mix on Sunday night.
