Stair Climb Raises Over $30,000

United Way Oxford has gotten a big chunk of money. The annual Stair Climb event took place and between all 7 high schools in Oxford County a total of $30,469 was raised.

OXFORD COUNTY - It was another year for the United Way Oxford Stair Climb.

All 7 high schools in Oxford County came to the Woodstock Community Complex to participate in the annual fundraiser.

Resource Development Coordinator, Mike Crabbe speaks to how much was brought in for United Way Oxford.

"The overall fundraising this year, we are happy to announce, they have successfully raised $30,469 to help support our work."

Crabbe adds, for another year it was Ingersoll District Colligate Institute that took home the trophy for the highest fundraising total.

IDCI raised $11,810.

Crabbe mentions what this event does for the staff at United Way Oxford.

"The amount of team spirit that comes from events like this really is exciting for us. It truly warms our heart to see all these young people come together to do some really wonderful things for our community."

He adds they are thankful for the support of Thames Valley and London District Catholic School Boards, their title sponsor Meridian Credit Union, the City of Woodstock and Boston Pizza.
