The Friends of the Woodstock Public Library will host their biannual book sale this Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - The Friends of the Woodstock Public Library are getting ready for their next book sale.
The biannual book sale will be taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. tomorrow and Chair Matthew Lloyd says it's always held at the library.
"As you go into the library there is a meeting room to the left hand side and we're using that for the children's books this time around. If you head into the children's section there is an area they call the flex space which is a bit larger, so we have that as the adult section. This is flipped around from usual, normally we do have the children's books in the children's section, but it got pretty crowded in the adult section last time so we'd like to have more space there."
Adult hardcovers will be $4 each and children's hardcovers will be $3 each. Paperback books for adults and children will be $2 each and young reader chapter books will be $1 each.
However, Lloyd says you should always check the price tag.
"We're trying to get the best deals for our users but also raise money for the library so they can do lots of exciting things. So some books, if they are particularly valuable, will be priced individually."
They will also have a fill a bag option for $10 at the end. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own bag, but they will have bags available for purchase for $4 each.
This is a cash only event and all of the proceeds support library programs and services. Lloyd says their books sales usually raise around $2,000, but the last one in May was a huge success, raising just under $4,000.
