The Woodstock Navy Vets hit the ice once this weekend, and there will be a special ceremony at the game tonight.
WOODSTOCK - It will be a light weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets in the Greater Ontario Hockey League.
The Vets only have one game on the schedule, and that will be tonight as they welcome the Strathroy Rockets to Southwood Arena. Tonight's game is a special one, as they will be honouring those who have fought for our freedoms and country. Woodstock and Strathroy have only met once so far this season, and that was back on Friday, October 9th at Southwood Arena. The Rockets skated away with the 5-4 victory.
The Vets sit 9th in the Western Conference with a record of 7-9-0-0 and 14 points. They are currently tied in points with the LaSalle Vipers, who have played one less game than the Vets. Woodstock could leapfrog their opponent tonight with a victory, as the Rockets are in 7th with a record of 6-9-2-1, which is good for 15 points.
Tonight's game is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
