The London Free Press is reporting that Woodstock is a possibility for a new Sysco Foods warehouse. A deal for a new distribution centre was turned down by London City Council, and the Free Press says sources tell them Woodstock has been selected as the preferred site. The 40-thousand square foot distribution centre would employ 150 people. Woodstock City Council held a closed door meeting for several hours Monday, dealing with "matters related to the disposition of land". There's no confirmation from city or Sysco officials on a pending deal. Sysco provides frozen, fresh and packaged foods to restaurants, stores, hotels, schools and hospitals.
