Perth County OPP picked up a couple of 15 year olds who were breaking curfew in Listowel.
A couple of teens had some explaining to do after they were caught hanging out after curfew in Perth County.
Police picked up the 15 year old's at 2:00 a.m. on Argyle Ave in Listowel on Sunday. The youths were handed over to their parents who had to pick them up at the detachment. Officers were enforcing a provincial curfew and they were the second teens this month who were picked up under the curfew in Perth County.
This curfew legislation falls under the authority of the provincial Child and Family Services Act and has been effectively used by police to ensure children are not wandering around unsupervised during the night.
The Perth County OPP will continue to enforce this legislation, as it ensures the safety of the children and our communities.
