There's been another incident where two masked men robbed a taxi driver. St Thomas Police say around 3:15 am Sunday a fare was called in from the Waterworks Park. The female driver was approached by the two suspects who were allegedly armed with a crow bar and butcher knife. According to police, they pulled her out of the vehicle, assaulted her and tied her to the playground equipment. The victim was able to eventually break free and seek help at a nearby residence. She was treated for minor injuries at the hospital. Police say the suspects are described as white males. One is 20-23 years old with a slim build about 6'2". The second is about 5'8". Both were wearing dark clothing. The incident and suspect descriptions are similar to two other robberies that have occurred in the past couple of weeks. A cab driver was robbed at the Ingersoll Golf and Country Club on December 20th and on January 2nd, another attempted robbery happened at the Paris Golf Course. Anyone with information on any of the three incidents can call OPP or Crime Stoppers.
