Three local churches are setting up a Family Fun Day at Southside Park.
WOODSTOCK - All families are invited to a free Family Fun Day at Southside Park.
Oxford Baptist, Huron Park Church, and Faithway Baptist have all teamed up for this free event in Southside Park.
Pastor at Huron Park Steve Boctor says given last year's success they are planning for a lot more people.
"So last we we had about 1,500, we ran out of hot dogs, the line to the inflatables were a little bit long. So this year we're getting two extra inflatables and we're making sure we have 2,500 hot dogs so we'll have lots of fun."
The day features inflatables, games, horse drawn wagon rides, comedian and Canadian juggling champion Bob Cates, and a concert.
Boctor assures us this really is all free - right down to the food.
"People are blown away that this is churches coming together to throw this free event. People ask, 'Free? No the food must cost something.' No free. We want to do it at totally no cost because families spend enough money during the summertime."
It's happening at Southside Park on Sunday August 21 from 2:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. with the concert following at 7 p.m.
They have a Facebook Page set up with more information.
