OXFORD - Tourism Oxford is gearing up for another busy summer season with a fresh new web site.
They re-launched TourismOxford.ca with a new visual format that makes it easy to share on social media. The new web site is also mobile friendly and features a ton of new and improved features.
Tourism Specialist Meredith Maywood tells Heart FM the old tourism web site was launched a few years ago and so much has changed in the way people surf the web these days, which is why they wanted to spruce things up. One of the most important changes was making the web site easier for people to share events on Facebook and Twitter and they wanted to increase the reach of the different types of events happening in Oxford County.
She adds the new calendar of events will use pictures and when people are looking up listings it will look more like a blog now.
Maywood says the idea was to create a web site that shows the stunning landscapes and scenery in Oxford County and to make it more user friendly for people using mobile phones or tablet.
You can check out the new web site online at tourismoxford.ca
