Nobody was seriously hurt and two cars had to be towed from the scene after a nasty crash just south of Stratford.
STRATFORD - Nobody was seriously injured after a two vehicle crash just south of Stratford this morning on Perth Road 112 and Line 29.
Police and EMS were called to the scene just before 9:00 am today.
The crash happened at the intersection when an 18 year old woman who was driving a 2008 Grand Prix failed to yield at the stop sign and rolled into the intersection hitting an oncoming truck on the passenger side.
She did sustain minor injuries in the crash and was charged with fail to yield to traffic. Both vehicles sustained serious damage and had to be towed from the scene and the road was closed for a couple of hours this morning.
Constable Kees Wijands says the crash happened during daytime hours in ideal driving conditions.
"The OPP continues to stress the importance of paying attention at intersections. Obey the stop signs and consciously look before crossing through roadways. Remember intersections are locations where large numbers of serious and fatal collisions occur."
