West Region OPP have responded to over 220 collisions today.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford OPP have responded to a number of calls today where vehicles are sliding into the ditch and minor collisions.
Constable Lisa Naranscik tells Heart FM with this in mind they want to remind everyone to give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination this evening.
"Before you leave make sure you clear all of the snow and ice from your window and your mirrors when your driving and when you are out on the roadways, adjust your driving to the winter conditions and give yourself plenty of time to arrive to your destination safely."
She says you also need to make sure you give plenty of space between yourself and the vehicle in front of you. Naranscik says they have been called out to a number of minor collisions today.
"I have been listening and monitoring our radio here and we have a quite a few collisions of people sliding into the ditches, going into the ditches, all over the roads, and there a lot of snow ploughs out as well, however we are still getting a lot of calls about people who are ending up off the roadway today."
West Region OPP say they have responded to over 220 crashes today including a serious accident on the 401 Eastbound at Sweaburg Road.
