Woodstock Police Dog Taz will receive a private funeral on August 1st.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service is holding a memorial service for Taz, the police dog who tragically died in the line of duty.
The service will be held on August 1st, it will not be open to the public and will only be attended by police personnel, family, and friends.
Police are however inviting the public to line the roadway of Finkle Street between Southside Park and the Reeves Community Complex to show their support and to observe the K-9 Units and police marching to the complex.
The procession will begin at 11:00 AM and parking will not be available near the areas of Southside Park, Finkle, or the Community Complex.
WPS will air the procession on Facebook Live and Rogers will air the service on August 2nd for public viewing.
