A Woodstock man is facing multiple drug related charges after his arrest yesterday. Woodstock Police had a joint effort with multiple divisions being involved with the arrest. 34-year-old Jonathan Lawrence Wauthier was the one taken into custody.
WOODSTOCK - Drug charges have been laid after Woodstock Police arrest a wanted man.
Yesterday, around 5:15 p.m., members of the Woodstock Police Service Criminal Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Unit located 34-year-old Jonathan Lawrence Wauthier of Woodstock in the area of Dundas and Clark Street.
It was with the help of Uniform Patrol, that the arrest was made, and during the arrest, police located drugs and a weapon on the accused.
As a result, Wauthier is facing charges of:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine;
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and
- Fail to comply with probation order.
Wauthier attended a bail hearing today (Friday, July 28th) and has been remanded.
