Over the weekend Woodstock Police dealt with multiple thefts and liquor related calls.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police had a busy weekend with 140 calls for service.
On Friday, February 5th around 12:30 a.m. police responded to a call after an alarm went off at a business on Norwich Ave. When police arrived they found the front window of the business had been smashed and a suspect had entered the building. The cash box was stolen, along with the money inside. The damage to the business is pegged at $1 000. Police are still investigating.
Friday afternoon around 1:00 p.m. a Loss Prevention officer noticed a 28 year old Cambridge woman stealing a variety of products from a Norwich Ave business. When the woman left the store without paying, police quickly caught up to her. She has been charged with theft under $5 000, possession of cocaine, and breach of probation. She will appear in court in March.
Also on Friday, unknown suspects trespassed on the Outdoor Farm Show property on the 17th line and stole a garage door worth $900. Police believe it happened sometime overnight.
Police were called out to a business on Dundas St. on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. When they arrived police discovered two men inside a pickup truck in the parking lot of the business. The 23 year old man and 20 year old man have both been charged for having open alcohol in the vehicle.
A vehicle was stopped in the Wellington St. and Princess St. area on Sunday afternoon after police suspected the driver had been drinking. The 52 year old woman driving was issued a three day licence suspension and the vehicle was towed.
And finally, sometime between Saturday and Monday unknown suspects entered a company vehicle parked at a Monclair Drive business. $10 000 worth of tools were stolen.
