The City of Woodstock got a big boost from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. Earlier this week the OLG paid the city over 343 thousand dollars as part of their first quarter non-tax gaming revenue payment for hosting the OLG Slots at Woodstock Raceway. Finance Minister Dwight Duncan says the sites create thousands of good jobs, boost local economies through increased tourism and help municipalities build strong, prosperous communities by sharing gaming revenues.
