Lowering taxes and revitalizing the downtown core are the two most important issues facing Woodstock. That's according to over 800 city residents that participated in the recent Strategic Plan survey. While 93% of residents said Woodstock is a good place to live, nearly 18% said lowering taxes would make it more enjoyable. 18% also said revitalizing the downtown is the most important issue facing the city in the next 5-years. When is comes to spending tax dollars, one-third of city residents said Arts and Culture as the least important service, while close to 80% said safety and crime reduction was important. 76% said recreation and activities for youth and children were important uses of tax dollars.
