An alleged drunk driver travelling the wrong way on the 401 is facing numerous charges after a crash Sunday morning. Middlesex OPP say around 6:15 am, they received reports of a pickup truck travelling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the highway at Elgin Road in Thames Centre. The truck collided with an eastbound vehicle and continued to travel in the wrong direction before police finally stopped the truck just east of Veterans Memorial in London. Police arrested and charged 19 year-old Michael Skuce with a number of traffic violations including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, impaired driving, driving with an open container of liquor in the vehicle and novice driver with a blood alcohol count above zero. Police say only minor injuries were reported in the crash. The suspect will appear in a London court on March 14th.
