Charlotte Sangers is 10-years-old and she is hoping to raise over $2,000 for Juvenile Arthritis research during her yard sale this Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - Juvenile Arthritis is a very rare disease but still affects nearly 300,000 kids and teens across North America, according to arthritisresearch.ca and the Arthritis Foundation.
Charlotte Sangers is a 10-year-old from Woodstock who is affected by Juvenile Arthritis. She is raising money for an organization that specializes in her condition called Cassie and Friends.
"They raise money for medicines and tools for the doctors, and I need the doctor's tools so that they can help me."
With the help of her mom and sister, Charlotte is holding a yard sale and bake sale featuring a fresh lemonade stand. Last year, they raised $2,000 at the end of the summer and this year they are hoping to top it with a goal of raising $2,020.
The yard sale will be happening at 816 John Street in Woodstock on Saturday, July 8th. It starts at 8:00 a.m. and will finish at 1:00 p.m.
