BBBS Oxford Completes Fundraising Goal

BBBS Oxford raised $20,000 in the first 20 days of March, which will support 20 one-on-one youth mentorship matches.

OXFORD - Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Oxford County reached its fundraising goal, thanks to generous members of the community.

It raised $20,000 during the first 20 days of March through the 20 in 20 for 20 campaign. It encouraged everyone to donate $20 to the cause.

Executive Director Kristen Ralph says Oxford County really showed up.

"This campaign proved what's possible when a community comes together, small gifts that felt doable for people added up to something powerful for kids. With more than 145 young people currently waiting for a mentor, reaching this $20,000 goal means we can take real steps forward and start 20 new matches for youth who have been waiting for that steady, caring connection."

She would also like to thank TD for matching all donations up to $5,000.

According to BBBS Oxford, the funds raised through this campaign will support the process that allows them to create matches between mentors and mentees. It will also support recruitment initiatives for more volunteers.
