WOODSTOCK - February was another busy month for the Woodstock Fire Department.
They responded to 35 incidents involving medical assistance, 12 motor vehicle collisions, 10 carbon monoxide alarms sounding, 22 fire calls and 1 elevator rescue. Of the 22 fire calls no injuries were reported and approximately $15,000 in property damages was noted.
Fire Prevention officers were also busy in February. They were at the Zehrs in Woodstock on Valentines Day handing out roses and reminding people to check their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. The Fire Prevention Officer also continued with complaint, routine, request, and follow up fire safety inspections of all occupancies.
As a reminder we ask citizens to check their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors on a monthly basis and review your fire escape plan.
