Looks like Old Man Winter is set to drift back into the Oxford County area again.
Don't get too attached to the mild weather and rain in the forecast over the next couple of days as we are expecting a return to frigid January temperatures on Monday.
Meteorologist with Environment Canada, Peter Kimbell tells Heart FM, he expects the cold will start on Sunday night.
"Then when the rain basically stops on Sunday, it is going to become very windy out of the northwest and become much colder. On Sunday evening, as the temperatures go below zero, the roads will get a little bit icy, especially where ponds of water have developed so you are going to want to drive with caution on Sunday night."
Kimbell says they are expecting a lot of rain over the next couple of days and then the precipitation will continue next week, only this time we will see snow.
"We are going to see a little bit of snow on Tuesday, not a whole lot but some snow on Tuesday and basically we will see below normal winter temperatures starting on Monday, so it is going to be a lot colder next week then it is this weekend."
