The Open Air Burning ban has been lifted for those who currently have a permit and further permits will not be issued until further restrictions have been lifted.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Fire Department has lifted the fire ban for those who have existing permits.
The ban was put in place last month.
According to Public Information Coordinator Lisa Woods, they'll not be issuing more permits until further restrictions have been lifted and they can go inside of people's homes to inspect the fire alarms and ensure they're up-to-date and they're working as per the bylaw.
The fire department asks that current permit holders follow the rules, according to the bylaw.
You can visit here to learn more information about the fire permits in the Friendly City or on the bylaw.
