Implementing their Strategic Plan and seeing A.J. Baker Pulbic School remains open important Graham Hart.
OXFORD COUNTY -- For 20 years, Graham Hart has served as a local school board trustee.
Originally with the Oxford County Board of Education, and now Thames Valley District School Board, Hart has filed for re-election to serve for another term as a trustee. "I feel it's important that there be local input on the question of which schools they open and how our money gets spent at the local level and particularly interested in investing in the future for our students in the community by being part of the education plan."
When it comes to current issues Hart would like to continue to work on in the next term, the future of A.J. Baker Public School is at the top of the list. "I chaired the Accommodation Review in North-West Oxford which was the A.J. Baker School and that decision is coming up in several months for a decision and yes, I want to be a part of making the right decision to keep A.J. Baker School open."
Hart also mentioned their new Strategic Plan as part of his goals for the next term if he is to be re-elected. "We have a new Strategic Plan and I want to see it implemented. The theme of it is putting every student first and I think it's important to keep our decisions focused upon what's best for students."
Hart, a semi-retired farmer in the county says he enjoys representing Oxford and is willing to continue to on behalf of local voters and taxpayers.
