Hoover Enterprises in Tillsonburg has acquired another half acre of land. The company is a metal service provider that makes custom parts for the agricultural and automotive industries. A small dirt road called Taylor Lane runs on the west side of the property. It was determined by Town Staff that the only municipal use for the road was to enable the passage of various utility services. But, the owner of the company's property says they'd see other people driving down it as well. "The public once and while would go through there, but not as traffic; I don't know why really but yeah, once and awhile someone would go through there". The land was sold for around $12,500 to Hoover Enterprises. The south side of the road will now be closed and a gate will be put up at the north side. The half acre of property will not be used for expansion however. Utility services will be protected through an easement across a sewer drain that runs through the property.
