INGERSOLL - Unifor Local 88 has posted on their web site today that there will be impending layoffs at the GM Cami plant in Ingersoll.
Here is exactly what was posted on their web site today:
- The company has announced that GM Ingersoll will experience layoff weeks in the last quarter of 2019
- The first layoff is scheduled to be the week of September 30th
- They have not confirmed when the next layoff weeks will take place or how many we will experience
- The Mexican Plant that produces the Equinox will be informed that they will be reducing a shift, down to two shifts, starting August 12th
- Trades will continue working through the layoffs
