WOODSTOCK - A local tattoo artist has stepped up in a big way to support the Woodstock Hospital.
Owner of Crybaby tattoo Karen Popma was looking for ways to teach her sons about compassion during the COVID-19 pandemic: Here is the post from her Facbook Page:
"In the midst of all the negativity and uncertainty I wanted to use it as a moment to teach my boys about compassion. We talked about how hospitals and care centres are running out of supplies, and on different ways we can help. After reaching out and finding what was needed, we dropped off the rest of my masks to Woodstock Hospital and some gloves to Oxford Gardens. While it wasn't much, I explained to them that while not working, I won't need these items, and sharing is caring right? I'm feeling pretty useless, but am glad we found a small thing to do to help. I urge anyone who can, please do. Even if it’s sharing in social media those who are offering services still, or those reaching out for help. We may not physically be able to lean on each other, but we can share and show support in other ways. I'm so thankful for the support I've received since opening up in Woodstock and am happy to give back where I can. I do still have a couple boxes if anyone is really in need. Stay safe and positive friends, and please stay home if you can, to help further protect those who can't."
Always great to see amazing people stepping up in the Friendly City. You can see the post online here.
